Luck of the Mentor: Spreading Smiles at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade

What a fun way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day weekend!

We want to send a huge THANK YOU to the incredible mentors, mentees, and board members who braved the cold to represent Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Illinois. Our teams walked in both the Decatur and Springfield St. Patrick’s Day parades, showing up in force to support our mission.

Little Troopers, Big Impact

It may have been a chilly start to the morning, but our Littles were absolute troopers. They had a blast along the parade route:

  • Tossing candy and toys to the cheering crowds.

  • Spreading smiles and holiday cheer throughout the community.

  • Representing the power of mentorship by showing what it means to stand together.

Defending Potential in Our Community

Seeing our Bigs and Littles out in the community, having fun together, is what this agency is all about. These moments are more than just a parade; they are an opportunity to showcase the strength and resilience of our matches.

We are so proud of everyone who came out, bundled up, and helped make this such a memorable weekend. Your presence helps us defend the potential of youth across Central Illinois.
