Young Mothers Mentoring
This is our newest initiative, a pilot project matching teenage mothers with older female role models. These mentors are often parents themselves, though this is not a pre-requisite for volunteering. Big Sisters for this type of mentoring come from all types of personal and professional backgrounds. Our goals for the project are to keep these teen parents on track to graduation and to prevent repeat unplanned pregnancies. YMM is specific to Macon County.
