Keyonna and Danielle

September 2010

Keyonna and Danielle were matched in the beginning of 2009 at Urbana Middle School. From their first meeting, they knew that they were the perfect match for each other because they both loved doing crafts and volleyball. They also enjoy playing board games. Using cardstock, stickers, scissors, and glue they decided to put their creative skills to work and make their own colorful board game to play each week. Keyonna even crafted a unique spinner for the game! The girls have also designed their very own t-shirts with puffy paints and gems. Those shirts will never go out of style! Finally, at the end of this school year they put together a scrapbook of Keyonna’s trip to Washington D.C. over Spring Break. Keyonna saw so many things on her trip and learned so much, and it will forever be documented in this patriotic scrapbook.

Keyonna and Danielle look forward to their time together each week at Urbana Middle School, no matter what they do! Keyonna also plays the violin and guitar and loves music so they talk about her favorite songs to sing and play. This past Fall, the girls were also able to go to Keyonna’s first football game at the University of Illinois. Keyonna really enjoyed the game, especially the marching band routine at half time! Playing volleyball in the school gym also filled a lot of the girl’s time together. The goal was to bump the ball as many times in a row without letting it drop. They’re still working on breaking the world record though!
